GORGEOUS VIEWS DOWN MULTIPLE CANALS. SPLIT BEDROOM, L-SHAPED HOME. GREAT LOCATION FOR BOATING. FIRST CANAL SOUTH OF HILLSBORO INLET. HUGE TURNAROUND FOR LARGE YACHTS. The lot and views are awesome, the rooms are big. Vaulted ceilings in den/office and master bedroom/ bath. An interesting mix of new and old with light and neutral colors throughout. All windows replaced and house updated exterior over the last 10-12 years. house interior and dock need a little work. The seawall was inspected in 2010 and is in very good shape. Backyard faces west.
Hurricane shutters on site. Roof structure meets 1998 Miami-Dade code (Andrew). Garage door meets current maximum wind protection.
Intangibles: Great neighbors! Young and old, our isle is filled with friendly people who gather together annually for old-fashioned block parties. Backyard fishing! We have small snapper who live here. Snook, tarpon, and jacks, and all kinds are common. Twice a year the baitfish are so thick you can throw a cast net out and haul them in to catch bigger ones for canal or offshore fishing. Ocean is close! Lot's of people advertise they are "minutes away" but Hillsboro bayou is the first canal south of the inlet. Above water! Some seawalls, including just blocks away, have lower elevation and water flows over into the backyard at high tide or with regular summer storms. The seawall here and at all neighbors is higher than others so flooding is extremely remote.
