Today I finally signed up for the $9.75 per 1000 Kwh renewable energy program. You pay some money and they agree to generate 1000 Kwh of power from solar, water, or other renewable energy source. It does not necessarily mean that you get that at your home.
However, they are finally reaching critical mass with customers voluntarily paying extra so that large projects are being introduced including a solar project in St. Pete and one coming to Miami soo too.
