Going Green

bailout falls short of true stimulus package- AU solar plant moves forward

Only a small fraction of the new bailout money now signed into law will actually stimulate the economy. Wouldn’t this have been a better idea? Spray-On Solar Factory to be Largest Photovoltaic Plant in Southern Hemisphere. The $60M factory could well be supplying solar technology to the US. With our universities and technology resources, we need to step up now and get moving. They may be shipping next year. What will we be doing?

The stimulus package again leaves out extending the investment tax credit for solar. Incredible.

A city wide event, a keynote speaker gives a presentation about some of the most viable ‘going green’ ideas with the potential to be implemented. (Let’s not talk about pie in the sky ideas that have never been tried anywhere.) A few Broward County businesses may also give brief presentations or alternatively, they may have tables with information. This is not a sales event. The primary goal is community wide solutions, not one to one.
